Where can I return books and other materials?
If no one is available to check in your materials, please bring them to the front desk.
Can I renew materials?
If not on hold, items may be renewed for up to 3 weeks.
What is your overdue policy?
The patron is responsible for lost or damaged items. The patron will be responsible for the price of the material, plus a $10.00 processing fee for each item. Holds may be put on the students grade for overdue books.
What can I do on a computer?
The computers in the library offer Microsoft Office, Internet access, and educational software during library hours.
Who can help me find useful places for research information?
Contact the library staff at anytime by phone 316-323-6371 or 316-218-6371, email email@example.com, in person for help with access to our resources, or with any of your information needs. We can schedule individual or group reference assistance; including help with bibliographic instruction on a particular topic, effective use of our online subscription databases. Internet search skills, how to find and cite print and Internet sources, and how to conduct research in general. If you don't find what you're looking for, PLEASE ASK - we will be happy to assist.
Can I place a reserve?
Instructors can place special reading, viewing or listening assignments on reserve for students to check out at the circulation desk.
What if I need some extra help in the library?
Individual Library Instruction appointments are available to students, staff, faculty and the community.The library staff can provide an overview of resources including the online catalog, subscription online databases, interlibrary loan service, and reference service. More detailed topics include effective Internet searching, critical evaluation of web sites, how to be successful in writing a research paper, tips on typing papers, email techniques, and help with Campus Pipeline.
