Library resources for nursing students

Searching for Articles

Databases such as ProQuest, Ebsco, and Gale have a lot of content, so it's usually necessary to use effective keywords and limiters. When you're searching for evidence-based articles, make sure to select any option that says "peer-reviewed" or "scholarly" and to limit your search to the last five years.

You should have a library orientation at some point during the nursing program, but you might not get into the nitty-gritty of database searching. If you get stuck, please contact Ruth Harries for help - or 316-322-3351. If she is not available, contact the main library desk at 316-322-3234.
