Community members can check out materials from our libraries by signing up for a community card. Visit either of our branches to fill out a form and receive a physical card. A driver's license or ID number is required to sign up for a community card.
Community members are subject to the same fines and holds for damaged or lost items.
If you are a Kansas resident, you can get access to state-wide eBooks, audiobooks, and online resources with a Kansas Library eCard. Examples of databases that are available to residents include:
Visit us in El Dorado or Andover with proof of residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill, to get signed up.
Upon signing up, you will receive a six-digit card number that will grant you access to the State Library of Kansas' online resources. eCards expire three years from the date issued but can be renewed at Butler Libraries and Archives or any Kansas library.
