Students, faculty, and community members may easily obtain resources from other libraries. You can check the Kansas Library Catalog for holdings from libraries across Kansas, or simply fill out the Interlibrary Loan form with the information you have. Fill out one form for each request - please monitor your email for a response.
Most interlibrary loans take between 5 to 10 days to arrive. Please keep in mind that if an item is checked out in the home library, this may increase the time it will take for an item to arrive.
How will I get notified?
We will contact you using your preferred method of contact as submitted in the form. If you have questions about your request, you can contact either library below:
El Dorado: Ruth Harries at (316) 322-3351
Andover: Kim Veliz at (316) 218-6845
Please return items by the due dates stated on the items. Failure to return materials by their due date will suspend future ILL borrowing privileges.
You can return borrowed materials to the front desk of either library location: LW Nixon Library or Andover 5000 Library. You can also drop items off in our Book Drops (outside the Andover 5000 Library or the book drop at the entrance to the west parking lot in El Dorado).
Not all libraries allow renewals of interlibrary loan items, but if you would like a renewal, contact us and we will request one for you. We will contact you letting you know if the request was approved. If it is not approved, items must be returned immediately if past their due date.
Lost materials, damaged materials, and overdue fines are the responsibility of the borrower.
