New York Times

In addition to the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Wall Street Journal, Butler faculty have complimentary access to a New York Times subscription. However, access does not include e-reader editions, Times Insider content, or digital versions of The New York Times Crossword.

Register for a New York Times Subscription

  1. Visit AccessNYT.com and search for "Butler Community College" in the list.
  2. Upon clicking on the provided link, you will be prompted to either log in with your NYTimes.com account credentials, or create an account using your campus email address and a password of your choosing.
  3. Click the “Create My Account” button at the bottom of the page and you will have simultaneously registered with NYTimes.com and secured a “pass” for access to the site.
  4. You will now be able to enjoy NYTimes.com from any location, on any web enabled device, by just logging into NYTimes.com with the same email address and password as above.

Tips and Troubleshooting Your New York Times Subscription

  1. If you have an existing paid subscription that uses your Butler email, you must cancel it before you can access your free school subscription. You can cancel your subscription through the NYT Customer Care, at customercare@nytimes.com.
  2. You only need to use the NYT pass page to sign up or renew access; your username and password will expire after four years. The NYT recommends setting up an expiration date in your calendar; the NYT does not provide reminders.
  3. If you forgot your password, you can reset it at nytimes.com/forgot.
