Library FAQs

Can I still get a book or article if the Butler Libraries and Archives doesn’t own it?

Yes, we can borrow items through interlibrary loan for you.

What are interlibrary loans?

We are part of a system of libraries that agree to cooperate and loan items between institutions. If the Butler Libraries and Archives does not have a book, article, or other resource, we may very well be able to get it for you. Students, faculty and community members may easily obtain resources from other libraries. You can check the Kansas Library Catalog for holdings from libraries across Kansas.

How do I request an interlibrary loan?

Simply fill out the form with the information you have. Fill out one form for each request.
